The best of both worlds, Serviced Apartment living offers independence and safety, where family and friends are always welcome. Also, new companions and an ever-present support team provide company and connectedness when needed. Residents can come and go as they please, with no set visiting hours. All meals, cleaning and laundry are taken care of by our caring staff.
“The minute I walked in and saw the view from the balcony I fell in love with the Serviced Apartment. All staff are cheerful, helpful and very approachable. My apartment has a beautiful, big lounge area with lovely facilities. I love that I have structure in my day and I am close to my husband who lives in the Residential Aged Care facility next to me. Together we can walk along Linear Park and take in the views.” Ann Goodwin
Residents furnish their property exactly as they choose. Personal possessions and special objects help a new apartment become a real home.
INS LifeGuard SmartHome IPD is a unique, patented system that can put Personal Emergency Response, TeleHealth, Virtual Nurse or GP Consults, Home Automation, Voice and Internet, Social Networking, and much more right at your fingertips.
It consists of a purpose-built computer that wirelessly sends and receives signals to and from various transmitters and assists with monitoring a person’s health.
INS is a health care provider, so our services are prevention-based; they are comprehensive, fully flexible, and tailored to the needs of the individual client.
Our Call Centre is staffed by highly qualified and experienced nurses whose qualifications and clinical knowledge are far greater than the ‘first aid attendants’ commonly used in the industry.
The fact that all medical events are handled by qualified nurses is unique to INS LifeGuard and we feel it’s an important distinction. It means emergency personnel can be engaged quickly if required, and our nurses can not only share personal details, but also medical information that could save a life.
We understand that there are times when residents need a little extra assistance and attention. Our dedicated team works closely with residents, families, and health professionals to ensure that additional assistance can be offered, on a short term or long term basis, without the loss of independence.
Residents can relax knowing that we have a range of additional outsourced services available on a pay-as-you-need basis, including:
Fresh, nutritious meals are served every day from a tempting variety of home-style cooking options. Linen and housekeeping are taken care of too.
Residents can enjoy a wide variety of nutritional meals in the dining room. Our chef ensures that menus are regularly changed. Family and friends are always welcome to dine with residents (for a reasonable additional charge).
Each apartment is equipped with a 24-hour emergency call system for peace of mind. This machine is included in your apartment.
As well as the security of the 24/7 emergency call system, we will also set you up with 24/7 medical consultation support in the apartment.
If you have your own GP and wish to keep them once you have moved into the apartment, then we will set your phone up directly with the National Home Doctor Service.
For access to a GP at night, on weekends and on public holidays call 13 SICK (7425).
National Home Doctor Service™ is a network of qualified doctors that provides bulk-billed after hours medical care to patients in their homes and in aged care facilities.
If the call is an emergency, it will be transferred to the Ambulance Service Triple Zero (000).
The entry agreement provides that there is no change to the contractual arrangements should any one of the original occupants remain in the unit, thus guaranteeing the security of tenancy and peace of mind for any remaining occupant.
We believe that retirement is not about giving up independence, rather becoming a vibrant part of a community of like-minded people.
A Residential Aged Care facility provides a high level of daily living and nursing care services whereas, Serviced Apartments are a unique alternative, providing an independent environment with assistance that can be personally tailored to meet individual needs.
Residents can live independently and privately while receiving hotel-style services.
