What do I need to do before I can enter a residential care facility?
Before you can enter a residential care facility, you will need to be assessed by a Commonwealth Government Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) to determine the level of your initial care needs. Your doctor can arrange to refer you to an ACAT team for this assessment.
What are the costs involved in living in a residential care facility?
All residents pay a basic daily care fee which is regulated by the Commonwealth Government. Depending upon your financial circumstances, the Government may also determine that you should pay an additional income–tested fee/means tested fee.
More information about costs can be found at:
Am I guaranteed care as my care needs change?
We are fully accredited as an “ageing-in-place” provider. This means that we are able to provide the appropriate level of care for whatever your care requirements are at any time.
Can I bring with me a favourite chair or other such items?
Whilst room space is obviously limited, we encourage you to bring with you suitably sized personal furniture or other items which will help you to feel at home.
