Jacob du Plessis

Board Member

Jacob began his career in corporate accounting and more specifically in Company Secretarial Practice.

This then led Jacob to developing integrated accounting and manufacturing costing systems. An opportunity came his way when a small chemical company offered him a position as Company Secretary. The business was internationally and locally owned. Upon the exit of the international shareholders, Jacob structured a management buyout and assumed the position of managing director with 50% equity. Various manufacturing licences were acquired, which enabled him to grow the business to one of the larger privately-owned companies.  During 1998 they sold the business to a publicly listed company, and retired.
