Dear Residents and Families,
Residential Care Facilities – COVID-19
We communicate with you today regarding a suggestion for improvement that we have been able to review, discuss and action.
We continue to manage the requirements and changes that are required to ensure our residents, staff and visitors remain safe during COVID-19. We are required to have controlled access to the entry to our Residential Facilities to ensure that we are monitoring and declaring our health. We thank you for your understanding that at times there may be delays answering the front door as staff may be attending to the needs of our residents. The safety of our residents, families and staff remain our highest priority.
We are pleased to inform you that we have worked closely with stakeholders and can share with you the exit code for the facility. This is only able to be used at the one point (front entrance) at each site.
We ask that you only allow yourself out of the doors to ensure the safety of our residents at all times.
As we have seen over the past 4-5 days, things change very rapidly with directions for managing COVID-19. Please find attached an information fact sheet from SA Health. Please note that we are still waiting for an update to this fact sheet from SA Health with the directive changes regarding the potential outbreak in Melbourne. Once this is updated we will place the information sheet on our website for you to review.
If you have any questions or feedback regarding COVID-19 or changing of the exit door, please do not hesitate to contact me.
