Dear Residents and Families,

Residential Care Facilities – Important COVID–19 Update

Thank you for your commitment to the challenges the past 7 days have again provided to us all.

A fantastic outcome for the entire state has seen the Level 5 restrictions revoked from midnight tonight.

We are still required to adhere to Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities No 39) Direction 2021 and also remain compliant with the density requirement of 1 person per 4 sq. metres

In consultation with the leadership teams across Warrina Park and Warrina Court and with an ongoing commitment to keep our residents and staff safe we ask the following be in place.

  1. Both facilities will be open to visitors from 10am to 4pm. If you are unable to visit in this time please call your Site Manager to negotiate this individually.
  2. Due to density requirements only 2 people are able to visit at once and all visits must take place in your family member’s room. No visits in communal areas please.
  3. Masks remain mandatory and our screening requirements have not changed. You will require a temperature check and screening review with our staff on arrival prior to entering the facility.
  4. Also please remember to use the hand sanitizer provided on arrival.

We would really appreciate your support as we ease back to having visitors in our facilities and we look forward to continuing to work together to achieve this for all.

Kind Regards

Dear Residents and Families,

Residential Care Facilities – Important COVID–19 Update

As we head into the weekend of South Australia’s level 5 restrictions I wanted to provide an update on how our residents and staff are being supported in our two Residential Care Facilities.

Each day this week we have been having daily phone conferences across the two sites with myself and all of the department heads to ensure we are monitoring the directives and requirements.

We are working closely with our staff as the hot spots continue to change and evolve and this will continue over the weekend.

Please be assured that we are certainly aware of how difficult the facility lockdown is for residents and families, and we have a wonderful Lifestyle Team across both facilities who have been providing emotional support individually for our residents.

We take this opportunity to thank all of our dedicated staff who continue to show commitment and dedication to our residents during such a challenging time.

We would also like to express our appreciation for the support we have received from families and your understanding as we continue to put the safety and wellbeing of all residents and staff at the centre of everything we do.

We will continue to provide exceptional visits for palliative care so please liaise directly with your Site Manager if this is required so we can provide this support in the safest possible way.

The challenging situation within Australia and now in South Australia is constantly changing and we encourage you to monitor the information that is publicly available on the SA Health website.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards

Dear Residents and Families,

Residential Care Facilities – Important COVID–19 Information

We communicate with you today regarding the situation in Australia with the current COVID-19 outbreaks and now in particular the local developments in South Australia.

At Warrina Homes we are very concerned with the locations of our 2 Residential Care Facilities and their proximity to many of the listed hotspots, and at all times remain committed to the safety and care of both our residents and our staff.

From 6pm tonight South Australia will enter Level 5 restrictions which means there are only 5 reasons to leave your home

In response to the level 5 restrictions, and with the highest level of care and concern for all residents, families and staff at the 2 Residential Care Facilities, we will commence a lockdown of both facilities from 6pm this evening which means there will be no access for visitors.

We can support exceptional visits for palliative care so please liaise directly with your Site Manager if this is required so we can provide this support in the safest possible way.

Due to the whole of South Australia entering level 5 restrictions please also understand during this 7 day period we will not be able to accommodate window visits given the requirement you all must undertake to stay at home. As soon as there is any easing of restrictions will be work with everyone to also ease our requirements as we fully appreciate how difficult these restriction will be for your loved ones and for yourselves

The challenging situation within Australia and now in South Australia is constantly changing and we encourage you to monitor the information that is publicly available on the SA Health website.

We encourage everybody to have their COVID-19 vaccination to protect themselves and others in the community.

We thank you for your understanding and support during this very difficult time and please be assured that the care of your loved ones is at the center of everything we do

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards
